Education and Training
Gib-San is proud of the educational programs offered to our employees as well as our commitment to continued education for our team. We have a “classroom” environment with pews set up and on the opposite side we have an operational pool complete with all of our G3 equipment. We have everything needed to simulate real life scenarios. Employee training is something that Gib-San invests comprehensively into on a yearly basis to ensure that the entire team is equipped with the right tools to succeed.
In addition to our dedicated classroom at our facility, we conduct intense seasonal training on equipment and maintenance procedures for our seasonal staff. Our staff often attend supplier seminars at our facility, industry trade seminars and at suppliers’ offices across the United States and Canada. We also participate in global design university accredited education. Our design and sales teams attend the two best industry design institutions ongoing to keep abreast of the latest design trends. (Genesis 3 University; Watershape University) Additionally, Caley Gibbs is Co-Chair of the PHTA WAVE Young Professional Steering Committee.
We know what kids like!
Our Gib-San family extends past the company walls as family time is very important to us all. We share a personal connection to the family time that is enjoyed around the pool. We can share our personal knowledge and experience with you when evaluating the needs of your family. Tried, tested and true!
Community involvement… Giving back
Gib-San believes in supporting the community by recognizing volunteer and fundraising activities by special interest groups. Many of our employees enthusiastically participate in fundraising such as bicycle marathons to support Heart & Stroke and other community building initiatives.
Offering a hand to a neighbouring business
The Dundas St Grille has been our favoured grill since the mid 1980s with good reason. The breakfasts and lunches are fantastic and the owners and staff are kind personable people that provide a warm friendly environment. Like a lot of small businesses, they need some help to survive these tough times. In addition to the COVID-19 restrictions the street in front of the restaurant is torn up for renovation. We decided to get creative in how we can help them survive these tough times while recognizing others as well.
The Plan. We decided to purchase 200-300 meals a week for 4 weeks to support the Dundas St Grille through the indoor dining closure. We are going to feed our employees in addition to donating meals to a women’s shelter in Etobicoke and lunches for local Toronto Fire station locations and paramedic stations.
Get creative! This pandemic has truly shown the importance of a strong community. We encourage other businesses to likewise identify a business near them that can use some added help in one form or another. If a restaurant, plan on dining there or directing more business their way. Or if more appropriate to your business consider ordering business supplies or services forward to help with their cash flow. Why not give them a hand by visiting the Dundas St. Grille at 5238 Dundas St. W, Etobicoke (416) 239-6244

Hospitals Fund raising
Gib-San gives philanthropic contributions to the following Toronto hospitals. Etobicoke General (for their new critical care tower for cardiology, respiratory and neurodiagnostic services), St Joseph and Mount Sinai Hospitals (fundraising). In addition Gib-San supports the Princess Margaret Hospital in its fight against cancer. We built the swimming pools for the Lottery Grand Prize Oakville homes in 2017 and 2018.
This program recognized front line workers who have been working way tirelessly in a stressful environment in our fight against COVID-19 . In a gesture of gratitude for the support of the healthcare professionals, GIB-SAN joined up with Liberty Entertainment Group, and CIBO Wine Bar to provide2500 meals to front line workers at Sinai Health (Toronto) and Bridgeport Active Healthcare hospitals. Other partners supporting this program included Eventscape, Schneider Family Foundation, St. Michaels College School, DPM Energy and Diamond Lawyers.
